A question came up during class, “Which came first, chickens or eggs?”
This is actually a serious question, and it also has a simple answer (which the person who asked the question new):
Chickens came first. They were created on either day five or day six (depending on whether they had flight when they were first created).
I don’t know enough chicken science to know whether chickens manufacture eggs in their bodies from scratch, or if they all exist when they are born, but smaller (microscopic). If the latter, then technically the eggs were there when the first female was created.
But, even then, the chicken would be first in terms of what we could see. And, I suspect that since the question isn’t really asked (generally) seriously, the chicken is the answer.
