The first post in this devotional series covering the book of Philippians is Devoted to Philippians.
I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things [i]through Him who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:12-13)
Previously we discovered how Paul was able to get along with humble means or prosperity. Today we find the power behind that: Through Christ, we can do ANYTHING.
Now Paul wasn’t saying he could proverbially move mountains (or other things). The context is clear that he means he can do anything God wants him to do, because it is God who gives him the power to do them.
This is a promise we CAN claim: whatever God wants us to do, we will do it. No matter what it is, if it is God’s will, it will happen.
Rest on that!
