Anxious? Plfft! PRAY!

The first post in this devotional series covering the book of Philippians is Devoted to Philippians.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

First Paul told us to rejoice always. Then he told us to pray and thank God. I mentioned that I’m writing these last couple of posts during the COVID-19 scare. Then we come to this verse:

There is a peace that passes all comprehension. While our world tells us to be anxious and fearful, God promises peace that is beyond our understanding.

THAT is why we shouldn’t get anxious! If we pray, God here PROMISES to give us peace beyond our understanding.

More importantly, this peace is beyond the world’s understanding as well. Thus, this can be a HUGE draw to the world: we’re at peace when they’re all bent out of shape.

Pray, folks. And pray with thanks, because God is worthy, regardless of circumstances.

And we will have peace.
