The first post in this devotional series covering the book of Philippians is Devoted to Philippians.
Previously, I mentioned that Jesus humbled Himself completely, even to death.
Well, that kind of sacrifice doesn’t go unnoticed. “For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 1:9-11)
The Name above all other names. At merely the Name of Jesus, every knee will bow. The living and the dead will bow. Angels and demons alike will bow. Even those who hate God … will bow.
And their tongues and ours will all confess that Jesus is LORD!
I’ll say it now and again and again: Jesus Christ is LORD!
