The previous (and also the first) post in this series is:
I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all, in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now. ( Philippians 1:3-5)
Basically, Paul is telling the Philippians that he remembers them in prayer every day and that he thanks God for them all the time.
But, after the previous devotion on the first two verses, we know that he is still praying and thanking God for them. And, for us.
I hadn’t ever thought of that before, despite the number of times I’ve read this or quoted it. Paul is praying for us, even now.
That’s a mighty potent thought. And, it comes from a throwaway sentence. That great cloud of witnesses just got a little more potent, didn’t it?
