Write … Again?

The first post in this devotional series covering the book of Philippians is Devoted to Philippians.

Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you. (Philippians 3:1)

Previously I noted that Paul has written on the upcoming subject before, but we don’t have the letter(s) he wrote. Today, we look at WHY he writes the same things again.

Christians may be the most side-tracked people in existence. We flit from subject to subject, not always spending enough time on the ones that matter.

But, there are some subjects that require reminding. This one is Paul’s upcoming attack on Judaizers. But, the specifics aren’t that important to me TODAY. Today I want to note that the basics never become obsolete. We cannot remind ourselves too often to spend time with God, hear, read, study, memorize, and/or meditate on His Word, or any of a host of other fundamentals of the Christian life.

The basics of this Christian life are critical to our walk with God. How are we doing?
