WHAT Paul Prayed

God is Paul’s Witness

The first post in this devotional series covering the book of Philippians is Devoted to Philippians.

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. ( Philippians 1:9-11)

Here, Paul tells us WHAT he has been praying for the Philippians so fervently. There’s SO much in those few verses, I really should talk about them more than once. Perhaps?

But, the point is that he wants them to live godly lives for Christ, and to do so as a way of glorifying and praising God. A novel idea, isn’t it? Live life in such a way that God gets the glory.
